Subject: Healthwatch Survey
SURVEY REQUEST from CW&C Councillor Lynn Gibbon
Healthwatch is a key partner in the health and care system, helping inform priorities across Cheshire using the views of local people.
Over the past 8 weeks, we have been asking Cheshire residents to complete a survey to tell us about their experiences during this time so we can understand what is working well and what could be improved, as well as considering people's mental health and wellbeing during the pandemic.
The survey is ongoing so that we can capture experiences as the situation progresses. Healthwatch Cheshire regularly feeds back findings from the survey to the local authority, the Clinical Commissioning Group, local NHS and to health and care providers across Cheshire. This is so information can be provided in a timely and useful manner to those people who make decisions on how services are delivered both nationally and locally.
I am sure as a local Councillor you will agree that hearing what is important to local people is vital in ensuring that health and care services are tailored to meet their needs, particularly in these unusual times. With this in mind please can I ask if you could complete the survey, share with others to encourage as many people as possible to share their experience, and also keep revisiting the survey as the situation progresses. You can find a link to the survey here:
At present we have had over 1,000 responses across Cheshire. So far, people have told us about their mixed experiences of communications with care services and that they don’t want to overburden services or feel uncomfortable making, attending, and travelling to health appointments.
If you would like to discuss this further or have more information on the role of Healthwatch Cheshire I would be delighted to chat with you and can be contacted on [email protected]
